Just bought an 8 week Chion little girl yesterday with my two teenage boys. Anything we can do to be sure she doesn't become aggressive to any of the three of us? She has a very sweet temprament right now.

My biggest piece of advice would be to just make sure to keep on top of her discipline. If she starts acting up discipline her right away so that she knows what she can and can't do and forms good habits while she is young. If you let her get away with bad behaviors (nipping, barking, etc.) she will grow into an adult doing these things and will be harder to change her.

My black labradoodle Lottie was on a walk when she got stung by two wasps on both her legs. She kept lying down and now she's lying down, licking her paws a lot and panting loads. I'm worried about her-is she in pain? Advice would be really helpful as me and my family are worried about her. Thank you

Are you sure the stingers are out? If the stinger is still in that could definitely be a problem. Also, the bites itch. My concern is the panting - she could be allergic to the sting. If she is panting, I'd take her to the vet.

I got my little boy Charlie about 2 years ago and don't know really how old he is I'm thinking maybe 4. This little dog is so smart and loveable I have never had a dog love me so much we are always together and he has to give me hugs and kissess all the time and I do the same to him. He hates the cold and will not stay outside and we also have a 5 year old Lab/Newfie mix and she loves to stay outside so its kinda hard but she don't mind and they get along wonderful. The only problem I have with my chug is he always pees in my house he won't poo in the house I once read that a chug will pee in the house and mark everywhere so he can show you how loyal he is and would even die for you I don't know how true it is? If someone can help me with a way to train my chug to stop peeing in my house and he is very smart so I know he knows what he is doing he is just so stubbrn.

Chugs can be house broken just like any other pup. As to why he is doing it in the home - I really couldn't tell you. Is he neutered? When you say marking his territory - if he is neutered that usually helps immensely and puts a stop to it. Just not housebroken? Easy to do but take a ring of keys (ones you don't use) and keep them with you. If the Chug looks like it is going to go potty in the home or starts to go potty in the home, throw the keys down at the ground and say 'NO'. Keys make a big noise - do not hit the pup with the keys but close to him is OK. Big noise usually scares them and stops the peeing and then you take him out. You can try it. Some have put keys in a soda can but that is large - the keys just can be in your pocket.

From Animal World "Labradoodles are usually friendly toward children, strangers, and other dogs. As with most dogs, proper socialization while young is important".
Both the Labrador and the Poodle (the ancestors of this pup) are friendly, non agressive pups. They love their families and get along with people, other animals - so other pups and everyone in the family. Like anything else - any new pet - you would bring into the home, just go slow and introduce all on neutral territory. Remember, the existing pets could be jealous so they need a little extra attention from you. The new fella doesn't know yet. So just let all get aquainted slowly and make sure you give extra attention to those already there. OK enjoy

Adopted a 9 week old female Chion on Saturday.... she has quickly caught on to going to the bathroom outside. She takes a 2 hour nap after she eats and wakes up ready to go potty outside. She refuses to use the potty pads inside the house. I am teaching her to sit. She is doing good with it but she can't follow commands when there are a lot of people around due to her excitement.

So cool that she's so well potty trained. I've never had a small dog, but from what I understand, some can be rather challenging to train for that. All in all, she sounds like a super pet and a lot of fun.

We have 2 schnoodles that are litter mates. They are almost 5 years old and one of them (Shadow) started having seizures at age 2.5. Recently, these have progressed to cluster seizures. I'm looking for any information anyone else may have with this experience. We are looking at medicine to control and/or prevent the seizures rather than costly MRI and other tests.
We love this breed, our schnoodles are 2nd generation mini-schnauzer and poodle mix. They are smart, loving, active and no dander/shedding to bother our allergies.

I understand about the MRI costs - then they give you the medicine. I was thinking maybe your local SPCA or shelter would know what medicine to get. There is also an online site Drs Foster and Smith who (as far as I know still) provide a vet to speak with and prescribe medication and they have the medication you can order online Drs Foster and Smith

We started Shadow on Keppra every 8 hours. He is doing well, and tolerates the medicine just fine.

First and very important do a blood workup. We had a wonderful poodle for 12 years. She started having seizures at 2 1/2. We treated her for a year with phenol barbital. It wasn't working. Another vet suggested running a blood test. It turned out she had a para thyroid problem. She wasnt absorbing any calcium in her blood. We were able to treat her with vitamin d calcium pills.

I have a 12 week old labradoodle and some one said to me I am walking him to far. We do 30 mins a day. He does not seem bothered and still runs around when he gets home.

Lab is a HIGH energy pup - real high energy and poodles have a whole lot of energy. I think you could walk this labradoodle till you couldn't stand and the pup would still be raring to go. Don't worry about walking him too much because I doubt you can and just give lots of play toys in the home.
