I would echo the comments about MH lighting - it's too strong for these corals. I moved mine into an area of diffused light provided by T5's and it responded immediately. They also will try to eat larger prey but reject when it becomes apparent they can't get it in their oral disc! Mysis shrimp work well.

This coral is very easy to take care of, it grows really fast and is easy to frag.

I'm fairly new at having a saltwater tank. I absolutely love it. I have a toadstool coral that has doubled in size in 6 months. Yesterday it collapsed and I got it to stand up again. It stayed up all day under the lights and about an hour 1/2 after the lights went off it collapsed again. Is something wrong?

I also have a star polyp that has been in distress since I moved my tank a month ago. It still has color but it's not opening up like it used to.

Does anyone have any advice?

Leathers commonly go through dormant states where they will not bud or bloom. Usually there is a slime coat that will covers the coral, especially when stressed. It will revive in about a week or so. It will be fine, I would check for a nitrate spike though, it could also be caused by that. Do a 25% change and wait. Patience is the key.

Please HELP!

One plastic part of one tank that I take care fell in the base of a Ritteri anemone and when I tried to take it out I touch the base of the Anemone by mistake. I didn't pull or anything else but it started to shrink. Is it in danger?... Is it going to die?... Please HELP!

It should be fine. Anemone's often recoil like that when touched as a defense mechanism. It should bounce back up soon enough.

The long tentacles anemones are very attractive to see and very friendly in the aquarium.

They are very attractive; but wandering is an issue. I had this wandering issue. After several weeks of wandering, I came up with a plan...and it worked! I took a 2 inch piece of PVC and cut it (3 1/2 inches long). I placed it in the aquarium laying down and gently created current with my hand to back the anemone foot into the pipe. I waited an hour and the anemone planted his foot into the pipe. After several hours I tunneled a hole in the substrate down to the glass. I stood the pipe up and planted it in the hole. I then built the substrate around the PVC so it is not visible. It has been a few weeks. The anemone is now eating, fully open and best of all planted!
