"Hi, I recently moved to a home with a large pond and I decided to add some live fish. In early June I decided to add five shubunkin gold fish that I bought in a local pet store. The pond is 1000 gallons and very simple with one biological filter and two types of aquatic plants. I had really no idea what I was doing. Well to my surprise, the fish have reproduced and more then once! Less then three months later, I have twenty, yes twenty! Fish that are the same size as my original fish! The original fish are now over 4 inches long. The babies are all sort of colors but the most interesting are pure black (or very dark blue, it's hard to tell) I have four of those. I also of a third generation of Minos. Is this normal? I live in Quebec Canada. "
