"My Derbyan is seven years old. I've had her since she started to eat seed. She's always had some unusual coloring in that the green feathers down her back were edged in black. (My other two derbyans of the same age and other derbyans I have seen don't have this so I assume it's unusual.) Now her front feathers that are normally purple are turning yellow. She just had her second molt with the top of her chest being yellow, the bottom half is still purple. In this second molt, the yellow seems to have spread to the back and her primary feathers are coming in white. Is this something I should be worried about? Is there an explanation for it?"
