"WE have 4 chilchids and one of them will sometimes start to jump at the top of the water and rub vigorously against the tank, rocks, and even the filter with its head just on top above the eyes and will swim up in front of one of the other fish point downwards and flutter until it can get the other fish to bite it and take chunks out of it. This will go on till the fish has had enough and will quit. This leaves the fish with an exposed wound showing the white flesh underneath and in a few days will heal up, but he does this occasionally ..What type of parasite or fungus could this be and what would be the recommended treatment ...It also seems that after we have added salt to the tank hat this sets the fish off ..I don't know if it is because of not enough salt to completely solve the issue ."
