We have a white eyed male named Oshi. He is a crack up, wants to talk and sing, loves music and be bops to songs he likes, and starts croak singing... so funny. He loves to play peek-a-boo and hide under a blanket till you find him, and he laughs like an old man. Hilarious bird buddy...

Conures are prone to plucking as they are very very social and intelligent and they need a whole lot of things to do.  More toys, more chew toys, more attention, my socializaion, more out of the cage, ability to view TV programs - they definitely like cartoons and especially cartooms with music.  You can spritz him with Aloe bird bath but he just needs a lot more stuff to do.  Is his cage large enough?  Is he out enough with the family.  They are velcro birds and wish to be with their humans.

I have a white eyed conure for the past 24 years named Tofuti and he plucked all his breast feathers out. He is very loving towards my wife and will bite me when she is near. He may outlive us since we are senior citizens. May the best of us win.

I also have a white eyed conure called Billy. When #I got him he was so tame and spent all his time on my shoulder kissing me and drinking my tea. I made the mistake of buying him a large cage where his perches were higher than my sitting position which brought out his bossy side and unfortunately he has now turned aggressive. He has also plucked his chest feathers & looks like a miniature oven ready chicken. I talk & try to play the best I can with him in the hope that he will once again be able to leave his cage....still I wouldn't swap him for the world.

I'm hoping you can help me out here. I have a conure who is green, with grey head, orange chest area and yellow back half of his body. What kind of conure is he? Also, will he learn to talk?

we have a 6month old white eyed conure named "curly" and he is very sweet. He loves everyone in the family but likes especially to be with his "mom" and "dad". He loves to take baths, loves to take rides on our shoulder and basically loves life.

I have had my white eyed conure, Dragon for 13 years. It is a joy to be his pet. Unfortunately, only myself and one other person can touch him without getting a nip, but we're working on that. I think white eyed conures are the best. He is such a big part of my life and I hope he's around for a very long time.

I had a white eyed conure named Sebastian. He was very aggressive and territorial with everyone but me. He only goes with me. I will always love him and remember him as the caring fun loving son i had.
