Clarice Brough - 2014-01-30 Gosh, the easiest way to answer that is to see the Sex: Sexual differences section up above.
zoran - 2014-04-10 Small problem, my red zebra sired with johannii electric blue, as it is possible, and what will be the problem of any fish that will hatch?
Jim Albright - 2013-02-25 What is the easiest way to tell the difference between an E.B. Johanni and a Maingano?? I have both in the tank and am trying to figure out what I have now----

Jeremy Roche - 2013-02-25 In males maingano have long stripes and johanni have more a checker board pattern. Sometimes the checkers are so close it is hard to tell. With all the cross breeding it makes it very difficult.
fish_are_awesome - 2011-10-14 Would a 55 gallon be ok for a male and 2 females?

Charlie Roche - 2011-10-14 It is recommended that a tank be at least 36 inches long so if your 55 gallon does that - you should be good to go. Males can become agressive if not enough swimming around room.
Alex Burleson - 2011-10-15 Yes, however that is about the minimum recommended aquarium size, for those three fish. Watch for aggression.
The Electric Blue Johanni is very appealing and will definitely add 'spark' to a cichlid aquarium!
Is it possible for them to be kept alone?
I am looking to purchase a healthy pure pair. You can contact me at crazyconnor66@gmail.com to see if I could buy them.
