Emily - 2010-05-26 Yes they can because their babies are born very small. Mini rexes are just a bit smaller and rabbits breed like rabbits. When you breed get a nesting box for them to be in. The doe will pluck out her hair to keep the babies warm. They will not be pure breeds so you can't show them.

Susan - 2010-04-18 It's so worth it if you can litter train your rabbit. She will be a much better pet and more fun if she can have free run of the house. A large inexpensive cat litter box is excellent to use. I use recycled paper pellet cat litter for my bunny, it's inexpensive and works well. Put a layer of pellets to cover the bottom of the box. It does not need to be a deep layer, just enough to cover the bottom of the box. Fill one end of the box with lots of timothy hay. Fill with hay as needed throughout the day, it will make her happy and keep her using the box as a potty. Keep the litter box in the same place all of the time. Completely empty and rinse it out once a day. If you are young, see if you can empty the used litter into your parents garden, it's really good stuff for the garden. Your bunny will get the idea, jump in the box, enjoy hay and eliminate at the same time. It will take time, but she needs consistency. She needs to know where to go to "do her business". Good luck!

Jamie - 2010-05-26 Hi, i am a 13 year old owner of 3 male mini rexs' , Snowy, Rusty, and King Pheolix II, Pheolix has a bald spot on the bottom of his neck and it is wet, I saw him chewing at it a bit, maybe that's why it's wet, but I'm not sure and I'm just wondering if it's a medical thing to be concerned about or if it's just that it's almost summer and he is shedding or...? Anything else. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE respond to this, I love him with all my heart and my dad is not concerned about it so I want answers to prove he should or shouldn't be.

Most people leave them in over night. Just make sure to check on them during the night to check how they are doing. Alicia - 2010-03-11 mini rex aren't hard to show. i show my black otter and he shows great. my chocolate also showed great. if u send me an email i will send you a picture of how they pose. make sure that their nails are clipped and their coat is silky and smooth. use a pumice rock to brush their fur instead of an actual brush, the brush will pull on the fur and make it uneven. my email is suttonminirex@hotmail.com

Go to goggle a search American Rabbit Breeder Association. Then click on the web site and click on shows. Then you can search shows in your state and shows in state close to yours. You wake up really early and get back in the after noon the shows are so much fun. You learn alot about your rabbit. Make sure to bring a good book to read because that's what I do.

This is a white bunny with tan around its eyes and on its ears. Could this be ringworm or is this normal hair pattern for a young bunny?

Emily - 2010-05-26 Feel the spot and make sure it is not skin cancer. That is a sign of cancer for rabbits. It could be a little virus to. My advice take it to the vet before it gets any worse.

If she starts to pluck her hair out she showing a sign that she is stressed or having perparing a place for her baby rabbits. If she is not plucking hair separate her in a new cage with out another rabbit. Don't ever put a buck and a doe together unless you are breeding. If you are breeding you always bring the doe to the buck's cage.

I have adopted adult rabbits before, and I have found it is best to do the following things to help your bunny be at ease with you: (1) talk sweetly to your bunny whenever you are nearby! The sound of your voice can be soothing and reassuring and identify you better; (2) ask your bunny's permission to enter his cage by letting him sniff the back of your cupped hand before you do any work in his cage. I have a very persnickety bunny who doesn't like much interaction. After he has sniffed and identified me, he will usually let me clean his cage or invite me to pet him when he is in the mood, and I respect his wishes; (3) spend time around your bunny when you've given him a treat to eat, and he will start to identify you with good things coming his way; (4) whenever your bunny will allow, pet gently and talk to him without picking him up, but always show proper etiquette by stroking the top of his forehead first (the sign that he is "top rabbit"). Now have bramble who likes to come indoors to see me when I am in the kitchen doing dishes. I used to have high blood pressure but not any more. Rex bunnies are so soothing to stroke. All mine have loved being cuddled.
