caroline - 2010-12-07 I have a broken smoke pearl holland lop, he's the sweetest little guy. He's only bitten once and that's because someone pulled on his ears. He's a year old and I just love him. If you're thinking about getting a rabbit I suggest a holland lop.
Linda Iacono - 2010-10-24 Our family bought two beautiful Mini Holland Lops. The two were female litter mates and actually kissed us on the way home the day we bought them. We have a large aviary in our backyard as well as a hutch (that we never put them in) and a pen inside. We brought them in every night and during the hottest times of the day. We built them a pink three story condo that we kept in the aviary with a pvc tube that they loved to play in. Two weeks ago, we let the bunnies stay outside because it was cool weather and they loved it so much. We awakened to a half eaten bunny (Olivia) and another that was in shock. They apparently dug under the aviary during the night and a wild animal must have gotten Olivia. Aussie has survived but ended up having her eye removed. We watched her grieve and now she is doing well. I don't know the words to express how much I love Aussie and miss Olivia, only this forum would understand.

Julie - 2010-10-26 Oh, linda. . . . I am so sorry to hear about your sweet olivia! How horrible! I have a holland lop we have had for 2 1/2 years. We love her dearly but she sheds a lot all the time! Do you know why and have you heard of this? Any help would be great. Also, if there is anyone who is interested in her who could offer her a really really good home we would consider it. She is a beautiful sable point and has been neutered. It's awful to lose an animal linda and you are in my thoughts and prayers!
Alice Bronndus - 2010-04-18 We had the most amazing bunny, we loved him so much. He was a beautiful white Holland Lop and his name was Butterscotch because he had butterscotch colored spots. Unfortunately he died last Friday and we are heart broke. I am trying to decide if I want to open my heart again for another one at some point in the future. But he was the best and sweetest stress reliever I ever had, so trusting, warm and loving. They make wonderful pets, hope you all enjoy yours as much as we did.

Alicia Moncur - 2010-04-29 Hi Alice, I too lost my lop just last Saturday. She was only one and it was completely unexpected. I am devastated as well. At first I insisted that I would not get another rabbit. I now know for certain that I will open my home to another bunny. We can provide a good home for another rabbit, and the bunny can fill our hearts!… Alicia

sandy - 2010-06-24 I am sorry for your loss. I too had a Holland Lop, his name of Moochie. He died a little over two years ago and to this moment I miss him so much. He was so sweet and lovable. I haven't gotten another one yet but will some day. I think you should get another one as somewhere there is another sweet bunny sitting in a cage waiting to give someone love.
Leslie - 2010-07-22 I feel for you. I just lost my mini rex 7-17-10. Had him for 9 years. He was adorable and I miss him terribly. Also am thinking of getting another one. They sure do make wonderful pets, don't they? I hope you do get another one. I've had rabbits for 21 years and it just doesn't seem right to not always have one. Good luck to you. Les
Amy West - 2010-08-10 I have a Holland lop female and I am in a spot. We went back to the pet store a few days ago and my mom saw where Honey came from (or lop) and we were told she was male but it turned out she is female there was all males in that cage and she was female and was in for a week is she pregnant?
Christen - 2010-09-02 I had an adorable brown lop, her name was Dizzy. She was always special to us because she was our baby. She passed away a few months ago and we were both devastated. But my husband's aunt is a breeder and knew what we had gone through. Her and my husband surprised me with a new baby lop a few days after our loss. She was just too cute to not love, and though she isn't our Dizzy, she is named Hope and she is helping fill the hole in our hearts!
Sandra - 2010-10-06 How old was the bunny when he or she died? l am sorry for your loss. My bunny was half rex and half dwarf she died yesterday at the age 2 years and 10 months how long do holland lops live for? Thanks.
Jenna - 2010-08-30 I have a holland lop named coco, she was named after coco shinel. She is a broken black doe who is probably a month or 2 months old now. The holland lops are very social and easy-to-love rabbits ^^ most will allow you to handle them but you'll need to handle them when they are young and continually hold them in order for them to be great handling rabbits. They are fuzzy, cute, and good tempered rabbits. But they may need brushing every 2-3weeks, or the fur will knot or clump with dirt.Due to the fuzzy fur, they may not due well in the summer, but winter they can handle with the right conditions. They can be outdoor rabbits and indoor, easy to litter box train but sometimes leave "cocopuffs" around the box or house, but they are just marking territory as I've red. All together holland lops are a great childs rabbit and come in many colors and patterns :)
tricia - 2010-08-12 I had the most wonderful and cutest holland lop named jeremiah. He had a white tummy and black everywhere else except a black vest, half of one ear was gone, and the other ear had barely any hair because his mom chewed off his ear when he was a baby. He died on sunday, and I still can't get over it.

moona - 2010-08-25 I am absolutely so sorry, people don't understand how much of an attachment you can make to an animal. If you don't mind me asking, why did his mother do that?
j - 2010-08-26 You are so nice to keep him. Most people would be horrified. It's so sad he died.
Melanie Sinclair - 2010-08-05 We lost our pet rabbit last Friday. My guess is that he suffered a heart attack as he was barely 4 years old. I miss him very much, but have fond memories of our little furry friend. I received a call not quite a week after his death to inquire if I still had the cage and food for Thumper. I did as I had difficulty parting with it. Someone had found a baby bunny in a field who needed looking after. The circle of life continues.
The cute Holland Lop is a delightful bunny, with adorable floppy ears!
