My rabbits name is basil and she is soooo cute. She lives in cage in my back yard. Basil is 8 months old by the way. I got her name when i let basil in the backyard and she climbed on a pot and put her paws in the air and pulled down on of the plants that my mom had and the plant was called basil.

I have had my dwarf rabbit about two weeks he already potty trained. I just put the corner pan in and he used it himself. He comes right to the door when I open it and trys to climb to me. I just love him.

I am not really an animal person (especially since my rabbit almost got away last year-he was not a Dwarf Hotot) but when I saw this article, I knew I had to get one. My mom is thinking on getting one, but I really hope she says yes!

I been having a cinnamon bunny for 9 months only and she is my FIRST pet and my best friend, iv'e taken very good care of her, Her name is kyo and she is very healthy and has been recently spayed. These bunnies are very smart and very domesticated I've done tuns for research on this breed and how to take care of a bunny i want kyo to grow old with me<3. One thing i want to point out i read that rabbits CANNOT throw up fur balls like cats can. BUT! kyo has spit out fur balls! one morning i saw something inside her mouth and i pulled it out and it was a bunch on dry fur it looked like her old baby fur because it was white and very light brown now her fur is dark brown with some black. then the next day she threw up another dry fur ball! I called her vet and they said they couldn't take her in the fact that she was still playing, eating, pooping, there was nothing wrong with her.So i searched to see if another rabbit has spit out fur balls and i found a video of the same breed! it also spit out fur.So to some people out there that think its impossible you are wrong,It could happen and it has happened to me and others. But not to worry its not harmful for a bunny if this happens just try to get as much fur out of there mouth and the good thing about this i would say is that the fur wont stay in there tummy and cloth them up so i think its actually good for a bunny to do that. but you should still groom them everyday. If any questions i'll be more then happy to help you guys out if this is happening to your bunny. :)

I got two mini lops, they are 4 1/2 months old and are very skittish. They hate being held and don't want anything to do with us. They get along and play with our dog, but want nothing to do with humans. Is this normal behavior? How do I get them to come around we have had them for a month now.

well Devin this is not very common but my rabbit Lilly was like that until I started spending lots of time with them maybe they will like that forever but spend more time with them and treat them while you pet them and such I really hope this works for you!!

Once it gets used to you, hopefully it will be fine. But this should be totally normal. My rabbit was like this, also. Let the rabbit come to you.

most bunnies once mature dont really care for being held or carried for long periods of time they rather have their feet on the floor, but if you are patient you should eventually be able to pet them and get them to trust you, i had a mini lop a few years ago that hated being touched thats just how she was, my mini lop now is litterally not afraid of anything and doesnt mind being pet, he doesnt like being carried or held though.

My family raises rabbits. We have 20 rabbits, 3 of which are expecting. My sister is into breeding Holland Lops and I LOVE the mini rex. As of right now i only have one, a black otter sr. buck, but am looking for a companion for him. i had a chocolate jr. doe but she passed unexpectedly. I absolutely love the feeling of their coat and the size of them. I also have a blue eyed white Netherland Dwarf. We raise Holland Lops and Havana's. We are also starting to get into the Himalayan. As you can see we are very into our rabbits. Our website is Suttonrabbitry.weebly.com...it will be updated with in the next week.
