Hi I am Michael Stein. I have a Teddy bear hamster named Speedy. I sometimes give it food with my hands. Now if I try to hold it without him getting out of my hands he tries to bite me. I try doing it every day. I think it is healthy to give a hamster a treat every week such as zucchini. I learned a lot from your website but I think you shoud put more pictures of hamsters. thanx.

I have found that pine and cedar bedding causes respiratory problems with all small rodents, especially mice. I am not trying to go against anything anyone else beliefs, its just my personal experience that aspen is safer and better. Also, I dont reccomend feeding any small pet anything from Kaytee since they still use a pesticide in their food that was banned from use on human food.

we just had baby mice in our class and the mom had 11 of them....and her sister mouse,who lives in the same cage is realy protective of the baby mice that look like little red peanuts my teacher knows best....you cant look at them or tuch the baby mice or the mom will kill them.....!!!!just dont look at them 2 much and stay away the mom is realy stressed and she needs her time 2 get use 2 the little mice.....We did this 2 the mice in our class and all of them are still alive and very healthy!!! so you shouldent tuch the babies .....for the first week just feed the mouse where her food normaly is and dont look or tuch the babies for the first couple of weeks!

I have a teddy bear hamster named Rascal,and she is so cute. I think that hamsters make great pets because they are quite friendly. I have never been bitten by her.

I was given two rabbits for christmas and I love them dearly. it has been a challenge though as I knew nothing about rabbits when I got them. we now have 7 of them as momma had a litter of five. they are so great!!

I have two holland lops, a orange and a black and they are so cute!! They are a lot of responsibility but, no pain no gain! Holland lops are the best
