I just got a african long neck yesterday. I am worried cause he/she keeps discharging this slimmy white stuff it looks like string. I had an african long neck for 27 years before I dont remember him ever having anything like this..any one know what this could be..is it normal

How old should the female be before there ready to breed? Or does it matter on size and colors that are shown. I have 3 females that are 5 to 8 months old and are all showing the colors described above. Also they are all about the same size the youngest one is actually growing faster then the others. I was just wondering what everyones opinion is on the subject. Thanks

They don't reach sexual maturity until at least 7 months. The coloration when gravid can vary, but if a female turns dark, that indicates she is not receptive to mating.

Female Panther Chameleons are able to breed at 7 months.

I found a 3 toe male box turtle in the cement gully behind our home We are in So Cal is this native to the area No neighbor is claiming him he is eating worms and has water and green lettuce He didn't like melons can I release him?

No, he is not native to So. California, so must have been someone's pet. Please don't release him, rather take him to a pet store that deals in reptiles. They should be able to take him in and find a new home for him.

I also found a 3 toed box turtle,a female,who has been with us for about 6 years now.We also live in So. Cal.,and no she's not a native.So don't release the one you found, because his chances for survival are slim at best.If you are not going to keep him please contact me,my myrtle is lonely.She likes to eat corn,pears,mangos,and her all time favorite is snails.We rescued her from a waste water outlet,and she had 4 holes that someone had drilled into her side,that took 3 years to heal.She's very shy,and spends a lot of time hiding.

I'm wondering if you could help me? I need some info on Giant Tailless Whip Scorpion. Are they communal can I have more then one in an enclosure? Would two be OK in a 20 gal high tank? Just maybe the gecko plus all the other things like a tank, food, decorations can cost quite a bit. Is it possible for you to save up enough money that you could purchase the gecko plus tank etc. That would show your mom how responsible you can be and would be with a gecko and she just might have a change of mind. It is worth asking.

I would not worry, when I first got my ASN he would not eat for a while, then after putting about 10 or 15 sun dried shimps in there he went cray eating all of it. the thing is would hide around the couch so he would not see me. after about 2months heats regularly with me watching..
