mary - 2014-06-20 I am very interested in getting a Shetland pony, I have 5 acres frame with 2 horses, 1 donkey, and a duck, and I have handicap kids come by to spend time on the farm and I think that the pony would fix in just right if someone can help me, that would be great thanks very much.

Anonymous - 2013-03-16 American Shetland ponies are completly different from Shetland ponies, they are now catagorised as a seperate breed and i can tell you, as a shetland pony breeder (from shetland) american shetland ponies are not even close to ours anymore!
Mary DeWolf - 2013-01-22 I started at age one with my father holding my ankle and have loved Shetlands and then horses for my 83 years. Our ponies were black with white markings, and I never saw other colors until today near El Paso, Texas: two of the sweetest little bay ponies with flaxen tails!
Shetland Pony is the strongest horse for its size and can pull up to twice its own weight!
