Michelle Boutwell - 2015-01-06 The benefits of having a trained dog are endless. A few months ago I started to train mine with some videos I found online. They teach you step by step! Aggression, anxiety, biting, barking and disasters in the house have disappeared. My dog behaves excellent. And I have taught many tricks! Here is the address: theonlinedogtrainers.com
Kathy - 2012-01-28 My chow chow is now one year and three months old...oh my...you have your work cut out for you..unless you can devote 24/7 to your chow then not a good pet for you..they need alot of attention..and training will produce great results but you must start when they are puppies in a puppy class then obedience classes..and keep them there...they are very stuborn and want to do everything their way..so patience..if you have none then your chow will take the alpha roll and dominate you..and this you do not want..good luck...

lala - 2010-12-10 Chows have been in my family for years. That are extremely loyal and protective. They are also very territorial so it is probably best to domesticate them as puppys if you would like them to be "people friendly". The chow in the picture is beautiful!
Blake Bushman - 2011-02-11 I have had a chow for 9 years best dog I have ever had. Make sure you train them well yourself they can be clingy. Don't worry give it 6 months to a year there will be hair everywhere make sure you brush him a lot.
One of the oldest dog breeds, the Chow Chow is believed to be one of the first domestic dog breeds to evolve from the wolf.

I think modern chow-chow's are degradated from original dogs. So I prefer the sphitz type chows than the teddy bear looking ones.
OMG.....chow chow....my dream dog!! I want to have one soon...awwww I can't wait!
