I have a long hair. BUT he licks his front legs for about 10 minuted at a time during the day. Is this normal? Buddy is very important to me.

I have a little dog, not a chihuahua but, he had allergies to chicken and licking can be one thing they do if they have an allergy. I hope this helps in some little way.

I have a long hair. He is solid white with dark brown eyes. He is so frisky. When I bought him I knew the was the one for us. He was very hyper and loved attention. I named him spunky, he is 2 years old now. I raised him from a small puppy. He is very protective of me. He loves to be outdoors and run around with my cat. Him and my cat are best pals. They never fight.

I've had a long haired chihuahua for five years, and she's an absolutely great companion. We've traveled everywhere together and she's always been happy and healthy. But she can't stand other dogs either, no matter how friendly they are. The best thing I've found for that is to have a high place that she can get away to and they can't reach her. Usually she just runs up to the back of the couch if she needs a break from the sniffing and grooming. Though your dog will probably get used to dogs a bit easier since they'll be raised together, it probably would help if he could be a little higher up once in a while.

I have two dogs, one is pure breed pitt bull, and the other one is mutt. He looks German Pinscher and dachund, he is adorable! Charming and playful, he loves sitting on my lap! He listen very well, my poor Snoopy! When I got this dog for the first time he was tramatized. Whoever had this dog was very mean and abused him, he is so scared of a belt or leash. I never walk him because he gets so nerveous when I put the leash on! Beside this temperament he has about the leash and the belt, he is so handsome, just picture a dachund and a german pinscher. He is beautiful to me and I love this dog! He found a good home with me! My cousin is the one who founded him on a hwy when cars runs so fast! Snoopy is blessed in my home!

I have a Blue Heeler mixed with a Corgie and she is the best cow dog ever. She started when she was only 6 weeks old. She is my best friend and when we howl she howls too. It's so funny and my dad, who pretends to hate our pets, loves her. He says pet that dog like there's no tomorrow.

My darlin Brusier has been the love of my life 4 years now and I would recommend one to any lonely person. He is loyal and makes me smile everyday. I truely believe he would die if something happened to me. I know this because when I started dialysis I had to leave him with a friend every other day, and when I got back he did flips. As my time approched for a transplant he seem to notice me getting ready a week before leaving town and got in my suitcase. I suggest to anyone to get this type a dog, You will NEVER be sorry!

To Christie Mole,
Although it's tragic to read, your story is beautiful and moved me to tears. I too have a chi baby, and although you sound as though you have a lovely heart and all the best intentions, Im afraid you can never replace your friends chi baby. I know it's bad to see someone you care about grieve so much, but it is all you can do for your friend at the moment. I wouldn't know what I would do if something like that happened to my baby. My sympathies and all the best to you and your friend. Give her time to mourn her loss. She will be ok, because she has known chi love, and chi love is a magical thing;)

Looking for information on how old they should be when you have them altered. My son was told 41/2 months. His is currently 15 weeks and is a red nose male. He rescued him in Oregon at 4 weeks old. Thank You..

It's funny about the posting about Max. We have a Max the same age he's the smartest dog I've ever seen. All he does is give love and wants to play. Summer time he jumps on a pool float goes to sleep get hot jumps in the water swims gets out of the pool goes to the deck grabs a TOWEL with his teeth from the railing(he's wet from the pool) jumps on a chair in the sun and lays on it. Get hot again walks up to the pool steps waits for a float to go around {filter is on} and jumps om it again (if you give a mouse a cookie...) If we are playing catch with the pool torpedo he will dive under water and some times get it!

I have a female chug, Roxy, she loves everyone and wants attention from you no matter who you are. She doesn't like other dogs smaller and bigger than her and she will definitely let you know if someone is coming up to the house. If I leave her at home for too long she will find something in my room to take out and let me know she is mad. All in all she is by far the cutiest dog I've ever had and the smartest one at that too.

We have a 15 month old Schnoodle (Max), who is a complete joy. He was a superstar at puppy training class and I've just enrolled him in agility training (start next week!) to keep his mind active. He's a complete love, runs faster than most dogs twice his size, and just wants to be near the family. I would highly recommend this breed for anyone who wants a dog that is engaging, intelligent, and active.
