I would wait at least the three weeks if she were mine, maybe even longer just so she has enough some space to adjust to her loss.

I also had the same problem with my dog. Jack died and I only had Flap left. I took Flap to play dates where there were puppies so that she would find her own friend. It helped. Find a breeder that will let you bring JuJu to the house to meet puppies. Don't wait. The longer you do, JuJu may just pass too. Dogs get BROKEN HEARTS just like humans. Good luck

We have two ACD's, an 8yr old male (adopted), and a 5yr old female (brought home at 8wks). The two share traits of the breed..energetic, loyal, protective, intelligent, etc., but differ wildly in personality. The male is a bit of a loner, ie; no cuddling, likes his space, content to stay in yard by himself for hours. While the 'pup' wants to be as close as possible at all times..sleeps next to me, lays with head on lap during tv time, won't stay outside unless I'm out there, will get up from a nap if I leave the room, etc. The female fits the 'velcro dog' description. The male doesn't. The female also is a complete 'water dog'. I've read owners state that their ACD's hate water and I can't contest that. Our male won't do more than get his feet wet, but the female will dive into any pool of water available. We spend some weekends at a local lake, and I kayak. If I head out, she will NOT be left behind, and will trail my kayak any distance. To the point that we've fitted her with a life-vest, for fear of her tiring in the middle of a lake! These are the greatest breed I've owned, and I'll be a cattle dog owner from here on out. If you're considering one, do your research! They are not for everyone. If you're not prepared to play the alpha, they WILL assume that role. They need a 'job'. Whether that is simply catching a frisbee of herding cattle, they need something to focus on. Amazing animals who's loyalty, dedication and intelligence is unmatched imo.

I just got two chug puppies. I got two so they could be together and plus they would never come apart. At first my mom only one but we agreed two would be best. One is her's and one is mine. There were six in the litter. My moms friend told us about them and on 11/28/2014 the puppies are going to get there first checkup. Mine has a little more Pug then Chihuahua. I got the fluffiest and biggest one. I did not get it because it was big and fluffy. I got it because it bonded with me and the other one bonded with my mom. I think the two will love it at there new home (my house). I got another dog since my other got stolen by his original owner. He said we could have him but then took him while we were on vacation.
I was heartbroken for a while since he was my best friend. My mom hated seeing me like that so she said we could go get a puppy (yet we got two). The chugs are so cute and i think i made the right choice for a dog. I have started doing research because they are coming home tomorrow ( today is 11/27/2014 ).

We have a 8-9 week old female we think she was taken away from her mom too soon as we were told she was 8 weeks when we got her 2 weeks ago but soon found out she was younger by 1-2 weeks. She is not eating well but does eat we are taking her to a vet next week for her 1 set of shots. The thing we would like to know is she does not drink much water is that ok ? and she smells we have bathed her almost daily but she still smells like dog urine why is that? She cleans her peepee all the time her self and we also seen her pee take a few steps then squat and wipe it on her pee pad. What  can we do if anything to help the smell?

It's hard to say what the odor is from. A foul smell can be a bacterial issue, from an incorrect diet, or a number of other things, so it's a good thing you are taking her for a check up. Tell the vet your problem and he/she will probably do some blood work.

My son and I rescued a male EBT when he was 10 weeks old, we were told he had dermatitis, it turned out to be yeast, wich has gotten worse in the last 3 months. We tried oral antibiotics, oral antifungal meds, nothing is helping. We bathe him with selsum blue shampoo, nothing. Any sugestions? Please help, he is chewing his paws raw!

Try giving a raw diet, glueten and carb free. Find one with no potatoes! Give a tea tree oil based shampoo bath. My sister in laws pekinese has yeast infections she put him on stellas dog food wich is pre packaged raw food but with an English bull terrier there expensive to feed. Find a holistic vet my ebt has skin issues and I resolved them with diet change, I'm a firm believer in not over medicating my dog because it actually will rob there bodies of the good bacteria as well as the bad. Good luck! There are many websites on feeding raw and a good holistic vet can help as well. Most non holistic vets are given commission for the foods they sell and they aren't always the best choice for your situation, vets also don't go go to school for nutrition thhey spend about three weeks learning about companies like science diet.

Our Bull Terrier had a skin problem when we got him, at 5 months old. We were stumped as to helping him. The 'Vet' made suggestions and treatment, but the advice didn't seem to help that much. Since this is our 4th Bull Terrier in 32 years, I thought no way am I going to let this condition beat our new friend[pet] up. Long story short, did my homework on the computer and connections[clubs] ete. Turned out to be 'MITES'yes 'MITES'. Dirty little %$&*. It was confirmed by the Vet finally. These pests are virtually microscopic and tough to identify and often go overlooked and undiagnosed. Check your 'Bull' for these little devils. They wrecked havoc on our boy. Treated with 'Revolution' drops. Vet will tell you the process. Our 'Bull Terrier' hasn't had a problem since. All his fur grew back and his feet[paws] are beautiful. Hope this will help. It's awful to see them suffer. Good luck.

I'm sorry Ladies & Gentlemen, but there was a shot for Heart worms about about 13 years ago. It would last 6 months, It was great. I never had any problems with it with my Aussie & Chows. Then the FDA pulled it, because of their monthly competition.
