My beautiful Pearl Cockatiel in the middle of nursing her 3 eggs over night just died, without any warning of sickeness, now her husband is going crazy crying for her, I'm at my ends of trying to console him, it's not working, I'm forced to loook for another companion for Tatie. I'm looking for a frmale Pearl Cockatiel, please help.

I am sorry for your loss. Our 2 1/2 year old female Cockatiel, Pebbles, passed yesterday with no warning or signs of sickness. So, we are also looking for a friend for her cage mate, Bam Bam. Best of luck to you!

She could've died due to calcium deficiency, cockatiel exert and lose the remaining calcium in their body when laying or producing eggs so its best to provide them high calcium foods.

If your cockatiel just dropped dead with no signs of sickness they could have died from ingesting rope toys.
I noticed male frosted pearl was not eating and loosing a bit of wait one day about a month ago so I took him to the vet, they held him overnight and rushed him to surgery to remove a inch sized ball of rope from inside his stomach.
The vet said this is quite common but most cockatiels die from it without it being diagnosed or sometimes with no signs that the bird was even sick.
Rope toys are extremely dangerous but are sold and packaged as safe, please don’t put rope toys in your cockatiels cage.
If your bird dies randomly it’s a good idea to get an autopsy done.

I have a beautiful loving friendly sulphur crested cockatoo for sale. I do not know the sex but I feel he is a male. He snuggles with me under the covers to watch TV. He is used to dogs and cats and has never bitten or not liked anyone. Asking $800 and I would never sell him under normal circumstances...I can not have a bird where I am moving.
