yes hello, i went to the local petsmart and bought a hatchet fish for my sons 3rd birthday party. He loved the fish so much he named it Barkley the sock. Sadly Barkley died 4 days later. Best pet experience of my life

Seems like you didn't do your research before buying the fish.

I am looking to buy a red tail blue botia loach. I have shop around and can't find any for sale. Wanting one around 2' to 2 1/2'. Also do not want to spend an arm and leg for one. It needs to be reasonable. Hoping to find one. Thank you.

Yes,you can absolutely feed Red devil/Midas chiclids crickets. However, goldfish are not a good feeder option because they are too fatty and if they are bought as a feeder they can harbor potentially harmful parasites.

I had a pair of Jack Dempseys and a pair of Midas chiclids. The Midas laid eggs, hundreds of them. They hatched and as the babies grew I noticed something very wrong in their coloring! I have 3 babies left; one is orange, one is colored as a jack dempsey, and the third is orange on the bottom and jack dempsey marked on the top. I was certainly surprised!

What is a good food for them on a daily basis as I’ve heard you shouldn’t feed them live Reese’s on a daily basis

Diet should be meaty. Don’t buy store feeders unless you’re going to quarantine them for at least 3 weeks. They will take bloodworms, earth worms, insect larva, live food(raising guppies and mollies is your best bet). Sometimes they will take pellets and freeze dried krill/shrimp. Offer different foods and see what works best. If they are bigger offer some tilapia

this is moshe and i have a four red devils in my 150 gallon tank. they are very agressive towards each other. they will chase all other fish away. i have two black oscars that stand up for themselves. i also have a snakeskin gauramie that is very agressive. i usually wash my tank every six months. i feed them turtle food, flakes, and feeding fish. they will eat everything as long as they fit into there mouth. i would not recommend red devils for beginners because they are very aggressive and can bite. they like to eat alot as long as they can eat in two minutes it will be fine. i highly recommend them for large tanks because they need space and if they dont it wont live and grow as fast as you want it to.
