I have a male Illiger macaw named Smudge. He is a very palyful, sweet, and funny bird. He knows how to play dead, give a high five, play basketball, put a coin in a piggy bank, wave, and many more tricks. This just shows how intelligent he is. He says:

Hello, I'm Smudge
Please?
I really reccommend these birds for anyone who is willing to give it the love and care it thrives on, and can put up with its noise, mess, and separation anxiety.

I live in Oregon and my aunt has a male and female chocolate catfish in her tank. Among other fish, and have never had a problem with losing other fish due to the catfish. They swim like they are a pair. The female chocolate catfish is pg, she is ready to have baby's soon. If she does this will be a first. I have not found any one that has been sucessful on the internet or local fish stores, I will keep you updated if we are proud parents. If anyone else has some input, please let me know. thank you.

Try cloth pads. Very nice ones for canines on Amazon. Washable. Never leak. Good size. 4 to a pkg. $30.

We've had our Japanese Chin for about 1.5 years. She is a sweetie. The previous owner had her for about 3 years. My concern is that she had these scratching fits every couple of days. She starts barking and yelping until we go to her. She stops when we call her name or pet her. The previous owners gave us drops for her ears, but they do not help. Is this common?

She is most likely demonstrating a food allergy. Ear infections, Scratching, hotspots, buttdragging or obsessive Paw licking are all symptoms. Just had yo put My girl on venison and potato diet!

A visit to a Vet seems to be appropriate. See if your Vet will prescribe Apoquel. It will stop the cycle of itching quickly. She could have an ear fungus along with a food allergy which causes itchy paws and scooting. She might do better with a potato fish food from the vet. Might also be allergic to poultry and/or beef. Follow advice from your Vet.

I recently bought a japanese chin and he does well until he gets really tired then if you touch him he goes crazy and bites and growls at you. But that is the only time he is usually really calm and quiet. Does anyone know why?

Many companion pets have similar traits.  They are 1000% fine but if they are tired or sleeping and you disrupt them, they can get a little ticked off.  Many humans have this trait as well.  I don't think it is that your puppy is overly agressive - just that it wants to sleep or rest.

They can be overtired so, just like a tired baby or toddler, put your pup in time out. I do that when my pup, now 4 months, starts jumping, pulling on my clothes and mouthing.I put him in his crate with a treat and he goes right to sleep. They need nap time.

Hello everyone, about a year and a half I found a Texas brown on my backyard, I figured it because it looks exactly like the one on the picture, except it has darker black legs, but I don't know if its a male or female. When I found it I ran to the store and bought a 10 gallon fish tank and made a pretty decent terrarium, I filled almost 3\4 of it with desert dirt (didn't know if should use sand) for it to dig a burrow, but still I made a big shelter for it, I think the spider is fine, it eats a cricket every week or so and always keep its water dish with fresh water, in a room where the temp is always between 70° and 85°, it loves it, it moves around a lot and is very active at night. It actually just molted, I thought it was dying but it turned out it was molting and finished in about a day; that was 2 weeks ago and I just fed it a cricket, I wanted to let it rest after the molt. So the problem is, the spider is very aggresive, whenever I touch it it will immediately get in a defensive position and raise its front legs, and will bite if touched. I want to know what to do because I want to handle it, I've never done it, but I'm afraid that if it bites me I may drop it and hurt it. Anyone have some advice? I'm also starting to think it may not be comfortable in the terrarium and I'm thinking maybe it is better if I set it free, because it is very aggresive, can you tell me what to do or what I'm doing wrong? This is a wild spider, which I adopted because I was afraid my cat would eat it, as it was in my backyard. Thanks!

yeah it may not be comfratable with its environment do you have a flat surface for it to hid under maybe you to start that instead of trying to pick it up that you may to start trying to pet it first like stroke it .

I have a 14 year old female raccoon who is definitely part of the family. She has never been caged and liv s very well with our small dog and cat. Litter trained and does not go outside as I worry about her contracting disease. She has never been sick.
That being said though she has low quite a bit of wait this summer. She is still eating well and is healthy on her wise from what I can see.
Any thoughts on the weight loss? Is it due to old age?

Hello. my name is Mandi. I have a barn and every night i put all my cats
away and the racoon that i call rocky is always in there to. he comes in
and sleeps and eats cat food. I see him eat out of the same cat dish as the cats they have a friendship. In the middle of the night some times he opens the door and gets in. he is usually in there at about nine oclock . Today when i got home from work i walked in the barn and he was sleeping on the pile of boxes. He is really beautiful and i wish i could pet him but, i dare not because he is wild. but i have seen how friendly he is to the cats and i kind of want one as a pet. My friends Mom had a racoon that used to sleep in bed with her like a dog and use the litter box and every thing.
