"Hi, I just purchased my two gliders from a teenage boy that got tired of taking care of his gliders. So yes some teenagers might tire of all the work, but not all teens are the same. While they were in his custody as his pets he did properly care for and provide for them and did make sure to find them a good loving home when he got tired of them. I guess it would have to depend on the teenager who was purchasing them. As a parent, good grades, a showing of follow-thru on the teens part would be huge factors in considering letting my child own a sugar glider. Also for the sugar gliders sake I would make sure that there were 2 gliders(of the same sex to prevent breeding) to keep eachother company in case my child did not spend enough time with them(they can DIE of lonliness) YES They can actually die. As a parent it is your responsibility to check the cleanliness of the cages and make sure that they have food and water and proper care. "
