"Bettas are a beautiful and graceful species of fish. It's a shame that there lifestyle only allows us to have one male per tank. I've always thought it would be awesome to see a tank full of male bettas. I have a pretty impressive male that holds his own in a 55 gallon tank, along with a large Tiger loach, a baby Frontosa (very cool fish), 3 full grown powder blue Gouramis, a 4 inch African Butterfly fish!, and a Tiretrack Eel that's close to a foot long. He's bright orange all over except along the edges of his fins there a hint of blueish purple. His name's Tango and sometimes he and the butterfly fish like to measure each other up to decide who gets to hang out at the surface. The Butterfly has won every dispute I've witnessed but the betta does well and always manages to hang out at the top somewhere behind the cover of multiple floating plants. I'd really like to add about 3 female Bettas after my Frontosa outgrows my tank and I move him to something bigger, but im afraid my Eel may consider the females a snack due to there smaller size. He rarely eats smaller fish in the tank other than feeder fish but I hate to chance it. "
