"I found a baby raccoon about two months ago. I am guessing it was just started to be weaned when he was found. He made the same sucking noises and making bread like others have said and has bonded with me and my husband and my German Shep Max. He also loves my two teen aged kids. He followed me around for the first 3 weeks and then since has bonded with my dog. German Sheps do have the same kind of mask marking on their faces that raccoons do. Anyway, the raccoon is housebroken he uses his cage, shares the same food bowl as Max which is usually hilarious and now loves to nibble toes and run his little paws in my hair which seems to fascinate him to death. He does not like to cuddle or be petted as much now the older he gets which I have expected. I know he will eventually go and do what coons do, and since he loves to go on walks with the dog and my husband he gets outside all the time in fact when the dog is outside in his outside fenced in area the coon is always right above him hanging in the tree, when Max comes in so does the coon. This experience has been so fun and would do it again in a heartbeat! I know one day when he goes out with Max he won't be back but I knew that from the start. Coons rock!"
