"Hello again. My little mouse Sadie I've had for about two weeks has been acting really odd for about two days. She's not even fully grown yet but I was wondering if you could help me figure out what's wrong with her. She used to run on the mesh top of her cage at night and when I took her out she'd run up & down my arms and just be really playful but now I take her out and she just sits in my hand-most of the time with her eyes closed like she's sleeping. She looks physically healthy, albeit a little plump. She cleans herself frequently and seems to be eating & drinking regularly. I had originally kept her in an aquarium with pine shavings as the bedding but I switched her over to the care fresh because she seemed to be scratching a lot and I was concerned that the pine shavings were irritating her. She's in a 15 gallon tank so she has plenty of room to run around in, she's got things to play with but she is all by herself. Though I hold her at least once a day for a half hour. When I got her she was healthy and playful and she had been kept in a tank with other female mice. There is the possibility that a male could've been in the tank though. So is it possible that she's pregnant and that's why she's acting so strangely? Or is she just sick? I've also noticed that while she's eating in her cage she has her eyes almost all the way closed and occasionally she seems to make these burp/hiccup movements but no sound comes out and she doesn't squeak either. I just want my little mouse to feel better. Thank you."
