"I have a question regarding mice. I've had numerous mice over the years, including two fancy mice, five egyptian spiny mice and a wild mouse that I raised. With the wild mouse he loved to run, upside down, on the mesh top of his aquarium tank. I recently got a feeder mouse, she's quite young and very playful, but she does the same thing as the wild mouse did. She loves to run on top of her cage-upside down-now I'm just wondering if this could hurt her little feet or not. Occasionally she'll climb up there, hang there and let out a squeak, then climb back down the ladder. I assumed this was because she wants me to play with her because she's ridiculously attached to me. But I don't want that to actually be a sign of pain or something. & yes, I did move both ladders away from the sides of the tank a bit so that she wouldn't be able to easily get to the top of the aquarium but she jumped and managed it anyway. So I moved the ladders back because I didn't want her to be upside down on the top of the cage, fall and possibly harm herself. So I was just wondering if her running on the mesh would hurt her feet. Thank you!"
