"I have a Jack that has been fondly named Nemo due to a gimp fin. I found him in a pet store about 5 months ago. He had been given to the pet store because his former owner could not handle him any more. He had come in with his female mate but had killed her with-in hours. I didn't have a fish tank at the time, but I fell so much in love with this 6" jack, that I purchased him and set about aquiring a tank. Not much $ money to work with, I lucked out and got a 55 gallon tank donate to me. Two weeks later (after much frustration with a leaking tank) Nemo was home with me. I soon found out you can't keep a pretty, organized tank with a jack, they are interior decoraters at heart. Soon I started to want more fish. Nemo is a good size but with 55 glns to play with, I had plenty of room. To the pet store! Come home with a 5" albino oscar. The "fish guy" assured me that they would get along royaly unless I had "the unusual aggressive jack". That they did for all of about 10 minutes before Nemo ripped all the O's fins off and then took out his belly. Dead O in less than half hour. Still wanting other fish I have been experimenting. After another few failed attempts (don't worry I am not sending these fish to their doom, pulling them out and returning before it gets too bad) Nemo is now living comfortably with Bassican, my african bass. Going to be introducing a "true" red devil soon. Keeping my fingers crossed. No matter how mean or aggressive my murderious jack is I do have to say he is the best fish I have ever had the pleasure of owning. "
