"I have a 10 gallon freshwater tank that I bought and waited a week before adding fish. The fish would die within hours every time. I was told to wait and cycle. I cycled and waited for a couple months. I brought some water in to have it tested and everything was good except the ph was 7.5 and was told to bring it down to 7. I bought the buffer they recommended and 4 variable Platy fish. Brought everything home put some of the tank water in the bag for conditioning. Waited 30 minutes and placed the fish in the tank. Added some food which they ate fast and then they swam around really really fast then died a couple hours later. Any thoughts? I pulled out all the ornaments because of the algae."
