"I have 1 standard gold fish and 1 calico goldfish. My sister also has 5 freshwater minnows she caught and raised. They all live together. Originally we had them in a 3 gallon tank since July. This past Sunday I swapped them to a 5 gal tank with a filter. The water was constant mucky in the 3 gallon no matter how often I changed it. They never bother eachother Since I changed tanks, I noticed one minnows tail is fraying badly and both goldfish have minor fraying in Thier tails and some scales missing. There are also a few white spots on them. I bought a treatment meant for ich and other illnesses. I'm worried about them and I'm hoping this 5 day treatment works. If not can I use my antibiotics to treat the fish? Or do you call a vet? Any help is appreciated!"
