"I bought a couple of fantails a week back and it was on the first day itself after bringing the fishes that I noticed one small whitish scar on the tail of one of them. At first I did not pay much heed but over the next few days I saw the number of such spots have gone up in its tail and the previous one has slightly increased in size. No such scars have appeared on its body and the fish is playful as before. I don't think it's ick. Have tried to cure it using salt (NaCl), methylene blue, malachite green but to no avail. Please suggest a remedy."
