"I bought my two weather loaches from a supermarket. So I saved them from slaughter They are meant for food and $9.99 a pound. They are bred commercially in China and almost the cheapest fish for food, $1 per pound. When I was a kid, I kept a same loach in a bottle, and sometimes took it out to squeeze it. it survived all the abuse for many months. It just could not survive being forgotten for years in bottle without food. My son is pretty kind to them. yesterday he stirred them with a chopstick for hours. One of them jumped out the bowl And he kindly take several minutes help it back. Today he seems to lost interest in them. So, maybe it is time give them a good life in my 30 gallon fish tank. It is good that other comments here indicate it to be peaceful. "
