"I have 2 parakeets. Max and Ruby. I have had them for about a month now and Love them to death! They are playful and noisy but they are a joy. My question is Max is mostly blue in color. The base of his beak is like a purpleish color. He chirps alot. Ruby is yellow and sort of like an aquamarine color. The base of the beak is also a purpleish color. Ruby tends to squawk. What is the difference in these birds? How do you tell if one is male or female. They tend to show affection towards each other, play and feed each other. Any answers would be appreciated!!!"
