"I've recently bought two parrot hybrids and a lemon Oscar, not knowing about the dying process or that they where dyed. So I've been doing some research on "Dyed Parrots and Oscars". I've now noticed both my purple and blue parrots as well as my lemon Oscar have been changing in color. Oscars fins are turning black and parrots are changing orange. I have all my fish totaling 8 fish in a 55 gallon and soon to up grade to a 120 gallon. I've found that when these fish as well as most mid to large size dyed fish grow, they loose the colorization. Basically they are not now sick but they were colored in a cruel manner and are now wearing the color, dye, chemical out. So in a sense we have all paid top dollar for legal animal abuse and now have to deal, and live with our purchase. I feel angry with my self for making this unknowing choice and will do my research before purchasing another fish. I found the best way to go with any fish is a natural coloration and try not to have the newest hybrid out till you find out everything you can on them before the big buy. "
