Number of comments: 4I have 2 firefish. I haven't seen one of them now for about 5 days, and the other one dissappeared today. Does anyone know how long these guys can survive if they burrow into the sand or into a hole in a rock? I'm a bit nervous because they are my favorite fish, and i hate it when fish die.
Jeff Bridge 2008-11-15We have had Rin and Stimpy (our two firefish) for 2 years in our 135 gal aquarium. They have been hiding in a rock off and on for over 2 months now. Today we realized why!!! We have baby fire fish about 1//4" long swimming near their rock. Shrimp is the only thing to ever reproduce in our tank. We are so excited. Hopefully a few of them will grow big enough to be safe in the tank.

rj 2004-03-31Very easy to keep. Shy at first, but once established swims in the open. Great addition to any tank.
