“My name is Rico, I am a one year old Cameroon African Grey Parrot and I spend most of my time by the window where I like to sun bathe and watch the wildlife in my backyard. I love how my friends (the ducks) come up to my window, tap on the glass and say hi to me each morning. My favorite foods are apples and corn on the cob, I also LOVE pole beans and almonds. My mom makes sure I have plenty of toys so that I am not bored; she also leaves Animal Planet on the TV; which is my favorite channel to watch. I have learned several new things from watching Animal Planet such as how to bark like a dog, screech like a Chimpanzee and chirp like a Canary.”

When you open the door to his cage he is trying his best to get out, but when you get him out and let him run around he wants to climb up the side of his cage to get back in. He is very sweet also, especially when you are hand feeding him mealworms which are his favorite snack!”
