I couldn’t help but wonder if these dogs were matched up with the presidential candidates (Hillary, Barock, John, etc.) based on their personality or based on their looks! The personalities don’t always fit, but the looks sure do. Amazing resemblances here….

Black Belt Cichlid
"Are you a black-belt too?"
12/15/2007
The Black Belt Cichlid is an intriguing looking fish with its unique color combination of white, black, and red!
The attractive Black Belt Cichlid is a fairly large fish, reaching up to 12" in length. This is a great beginner cichlid for the aquarist who wants a water pet. Besides their attractive coloring they are intelligent. With their typical cichlid nature they come to know and respond to their owner. Once established they are easy to feed and raise as long as the water is kept very clean. Along with these great characteristics, ease of breeding and a more tolerant manner are what make them most appealing.

Sasha
"Sasha Keeps Them on Their Toes!"
01/22/2008
Here’s what Victoria says about Sasha:
“Sasha has been a bundle of joy. As she sees it fit to chase our three cats in several circles around our home until turning her attention to the two-legged beings who care for her. She romps around, tripping over her own little feet after the blankets we try (usually feebly) to fold. She has become one of my mother’s deepest passions. We love her soo much!”

Tonkinese Cats
Cats don’t have a mind for agendas and timetables, thats why I envy them… Dr. Jungle
The Tonkinese is a loving, friendly, active breed, known for possessing only the best features of its relatives, the Siamese and Burmese. Tonkinese are gentle creatures that fit well into families with children. Their coat is short and lies flat on the body, which means they require minimal grooming.
Tonkinese enthusiasts claim that this breed has the best features of the Siamese and Burmese, but none of the unfavorable features. This breed is especially active and playful. It is also curious and intelligent. The Tonkinese is a great family breed. It is quite affectionate and gentle. It enjoys socializing with adults, children, and other animals. It hates solitude, but is not as attached to one person as the Siamese. Like the Burmese and Siamese, the Tonkinese has a loud, distinctive voice. It requires minimal grooming.
Boxer-Lab Mix, Rascal
Rascal
"The cutest snowplow on earth!"
01/14/2008
Here’s what Robert says about Rascal:
“Rascal is a great dog who loves to play. Since the snow really started to pile up he is in his element. He is all black and him plowing through the snow with a smile on his face is a site to see.In this picture he is sitting in a flower pot we hadnt planted this spring(as for his red lead he is weird and when not using it during camping trips he likes to have it on to drag around, Strange??? LOL).”

Polls Tropheus Cichlid

Poll’s Tropheus
Tropheus polli
"I’m the only one, yes the only one… with a forked tail!"
12/8/2007
The Poll’s Tropheus is unique among the Tropheus species because it is the only one with a ‘lyre’ type tail fin!
The Poll’s Tropheus was described by G.S. Axelrod (1977) and placed in a category of its own due to its unique lyre-tail caudal fin, having only 4 rays on its anal fin, and having an individual place of origin. The Tropheus became a big hit when first introduced in Germany in the mid 1970’s and then into the United States, and are still very popular today. Many of the imports were identified as T. Moorii varieties, but now it is recognized that these fish represent a number of different species. There are many color morphs of the different Tropheus species, well over 40 varieties of T. Moorii. The Poll’s Tropheus has at least three color morphs.
