"I’m A Good Luck Charm!"

The Japanese Bobtail is known as a Japanese symbol of good luck when possessing the
traditional three colors of black, red, and white.
It is a loving, playful cat that enjoys being with the whole family. This breed requires little grooming and has a soft, harmonious voice.
Japanese Bobtails are especially affectionate cats that enjoy living with families. They are playful and good with children. The Japanese Bobtail enjoys talking with its owner in its soft, melodious voice that some characterize as “singing”. Some say that this breed enjoys having other cat companions, while others say that it does not get along with other cats. This breed generally ignores dogs, but is likely to be interested in other small pets, since it is known as a good hunter. Some have been known for enjoying the water. Cabbage Coral
Montipora foliosa
"I may not look like cabbage yet, but just you wait. When I get big, my ridges make me look like a cabbage or lettuce leaf !"
1/29/2010
The very attractive, non-branching Cabbage Coral is easy to care for and comes in
a variety of attractive colors!
The Cabbage Coral Montipora foliosa is a plate Montipora. It typically grows in colonies of thin plates without upright branches forming on the surface. But it does have rows of ridges run perpendicular to the edge, or margin of the coral, which is a good identifying characteristic. It is described by various common names including Scrolling Montipora Coral, Porous Lettuce Coral, Plated Coral, and Pore Coral.
In its natural colors the Cabbage Coral can be pink, green, brown, cream, blue, lavender or gray. The polyps are typically contrasting in color to the main fleshy part of the coral, typically white or shades of blues and purples… Read More
Greater Bush Baby – Ditto

Ditto
"How can ANY pet have this many talents?"
2010-05-18
Here’s what Cindy says about Ditto:
"Ditto, is a Greater Bush Baby, scientifically known as Galagos, which are prosimians, an arboreal group of primates that are distantly related to monkeys & apes. Bush Babies are more closely related to lemurs, lorises & pottos. Ditto lives in a hollow log inside a big enclosed area, in my house. He is about 8″ tall & weighs about 1 pound. He walks on all 4′s or jumps & hops to get around, he can jump about 20 to 40 feet from a sitting position. He can climb just about anything even a door frame, with his nimble little fingers. I have raised him from a tiny baby, he is 4 years old, & is very friendly with everyone. He loves to sit on your shoulder & play with your hair, lean over & give you kisses, or play with your ear.
Deforestation is destroying their habitat, but they are not yet listed as endangered. Given their common name Bush baby by the indigenous natives because they sound like a crying infant. They make other noises such as croaks, chirps, whistles & a funny bark! Their large eyes, help these nocturnal Bush babies see extremely well at night. They live on the edge of the rainforest, & eat a variety of foods including insects, tiny birds, seeds, fruits, flowers, tree sap, & small snakes. At home Ditto eats a specially formulated commercial dry pellet food, live crickets, & meal worms, fresh fruits, eggs, a specially formulated gum food, seeds, nuts, & fresh veggies. His favorite treats are, sugar free gummy bears, any kind of 100% natural trail mix, fig newtons, tiny marshmellows, & sugar free jello any color.
Galagos are strange, & curious animals, like an owl they can turn their heads 180 degrees, & can hear a cricket walking from about 10-15 feet away. In the wild they leap from tree to tree sometimes as much as almost 40 feet, away using their bushy tail as a rudder. An adult of this species of galagos is about the size of a typical house cat, & have a life span of 10-15 years in captivity, they usually only live about 3-4 years in the wild.
I think Bush Babies make wonderful pets, some people disagree because they require a lot of space, they are awake mostly at night when people are asleep. If neglected & not taken care of properly the galagos cage can be very smelly, because they urinate on their hands when marking their territory with the urine."

Stick Polyps
Ancrozoanthus Sp.
"Now here’s a unique little fellow, they will grow over abandoned tube casings and become a miniature polyp tree!"
8/10/2010
The Stick Polyp builds its home on a worm and looks like a polyp tree,
or better yet like polyps on a stick!
The Stick Polyp of the Acrozoanthus genus makes its home encrusting on abandoned tube casings of polychaete worms or fan worms. At times, they will also live on a tube casing that still has a worm residing in it. In this symbiotic relationship, the Eunice tubifex worm is still alive and secreting material to keep the tube strong, thus making a more permanent home for the Acrozoanthus. Without the worm, the tube eventually disintegrates and the Acrozoanthus will have to move onto a new home… Read More
