Tropheus species – African Cichlids
"NO these are not clowns…they just LOOK like clowns! Color is the name of the game for this bunch of Tropheus cichlids. And there’s a bunch of them."
A number of beautiful varieties of Tropheus species are recognized though not yet described
but they are popular and readily available!
There are a number of different Tropheus species recognized today and five that are scientifically described; the Blue-Eyed Tropheus T. brichardi, White Spotted Cichlid T. duboisi, Blunthead Cichlid T. Moorii, T. annectens, and Poll’s Tropheus T. polli. There is some debate on this one, but the T. Polli was described by G.S. Axelrod (1977) and placed in a category of its own due to its unique lyre-tail caudal fin, having only 4 rays on its anal fin, and having an individual place of origin. Four of these five have various color morphs with the Blunthead Cichlid having well over 40 varieties.

"She’s a siamese sable unmaned lionhead and we have 2 siamese cats that look identical to her. She loves to chase them around the house! Hershey (bunny) loves to ‘try’ and play ball with honey and cuddles (cats) without much success. She contents herself by playing by herself or eating my favorite sweater. She tends to fall asleep while on my little sisters shoulder
She is just the cutest thing!"

Shire – Draft Horse Breed
Shire – Draft Horse Breed
"The Shire is an exceptional heavy horse breed. From carrying a fully armored knight into battle, working the farm, to a companion animal today… this gentle giant is a well mannered worker!
The magnificent Shire is powerful and muscular, and is the tallest breed of horse!
A true “gentle giant”, the Shire is renowned for its docile temperament and strong work ethic. From battlefield to farmland, this noble horse has been a well mannered servant and faithful companion. The Shire’s great ancestors came from the “Old English Black Horse” of the central regions of England, counties commonly referred to as the “shires”.
Though its ancestry dates back to the Great Horses of the Medieval era, its use throughout history is one of aiding in the civilization of modern man. In the twelfth century, these heavy cob type horses were used as warhorses. Being strong and docile they were well suited to carrying the three hundred or so pounds of a fully armored knight into battle. Then farmers found their worth, being able to pull farm equipment and clear marshlands.

A darling little sea anemone with a VERY Bad Rap!
Who would have thought that such an adorable little sea anemone could get such a horrible reputation!?!
Get some laughs with this seriously funny ‘care sheet’ on the Aiptasia Glass Anemones! If you have a saltwater aquarium or you’re thinking of starting one… you’ll enjoy this tongue-in-cheek presentation of this pesky problem!
Reign of Terror! “Say Hello to My Little Friend” – Author Carrie McBirney
The worst (and eventual) inhabitant of most reef systems is Aiptasia. The Glass Anemone is the worst nightmare we can have, next to hydroids! The day a Glass Anemone is detected as you gaze admiringly at your reef, is probably the day AFTER you told everyone you don’t have that pest anemone problem with your tank. As tempting as it is for a newbie reef keeper to get a “male and female” Aiptasia anemone pair, DON’T DO IT! They reproduce quickly, creep over all surfaces and ….
Tabby Cat – Mushroom

Mushroom
"A most curious case of smart!"
2009-11-03
Here’s what Debra Davis says about Mushroom:
"My pet cat,Mushroom can open drawers, jump on the door knob to turn it and open the door. I had to put his cat food in a locked drawer, because other wise, he will drag the cat food out and chew into it. He can also chew through screens to get out the window, and jumps in and out the window. But now I have pet proof screens. One time I caught him taking my pay check out of my open purse with his teeth! I would have never imagined that he would have done that! It was quite funny, when I caught him. Luckily, I saw him do it,or I would have never known what happened to my check! He doesn’t seem to care for my fish yet. At first, when I lifted him up to see the fish he was very frightened. I don’t know if he was afraid of the fish, or if he was afraid I was going to put him in the water in the fish tank. But now when I sit on the foot stool to look at the fish, he goes back and forth between my legs, and I always lift him up to see them, then I put him back down. He doesn’t seem as frightened now,and he keeps doing that, knowing I will show him the fish."
