Hi all I am from missouri and let me tell you I have a small zoo in my house. As of this moment I have 1 cat(tiger), 1 gerbil(shade), 4 love birds( kiwi and olive, buster and betty) 2 cockatiels (sassy and nemo) 1 pac man frog, 1 whites tree frog, 6 baby lizards unknown, 1 gecko ( fluffy) one 20 gal tank with 1000 crickets to feed the reptiles, 4 fish tanks set up 1st is a 45 hex tank with 3 jewels in it, 2nd is 55 with 1 green severum, 1 roktiel severum, 1 gold severum, 1 yoyo loach, 1 golden algae eater. 3rd is a 55 with a 7 in green terror and a pair of convicts. and last is a 125 with 1 7in Jack dempsey, 1 9in oscar, 1 5in red terror, 1 5in nicaranguense, 1 2in buck tooth tetra, 1 3 in salvini and 1 3 in managuense. I also have another 6 or seven tanks not set up at present but eventually will try my hand at breeding fish. While I like africans with all of their colors, in my opionion you just cant match the beauty of the south americans. They also seem to have alot more personality, at least mine do. I am in the process of uploading pics of all my wonderful brood so feel free to let me know what you think.

You do have a lot of animals. And you are smart too, having a tank for breeding your own crickets to feed your critters. Which leads me to say... you have a lot of energy!..LOL

I think your fish are super, and I think you'll have a great time when you get your breeding operation going. I have 4 good sized aquariums set up and a 125 sitting here waiting to go. It is such a decision as to what to do with it!

Its a tall show tank. We had thought about a vivarium (fish on the bottom, plants on the top), or maybe a dedicated Rainbowfish tank, or maybe a fancy goldfish tank, OR... maybe use it as a refugium for our reef and keep crabs, shrimp or other invertebrates in it that might get eaten by our wrasses in the reef...

What to do! But now I'm thinking, maybe we should breed cichlids!...LOL

When I think Missouri, ....I think catfish!?! I love catfish!

I've never been there, the US is just so big! I do want to check it out, and you two inspire me. Are there any good aquariums, zoos, other great 'animal' places you would recommend checking out?
