Velvet Stone Coral
Small Polyped Stony Index

Description:
Velvet Stone comes in all kinds of colors and shapes. The polyps are small and fuzzy. Although similar in appearance, it cannot be confused with the jewel corals since it has no structures that look like eyes on the skeleton. It is uniformly smooth and fuzzy.

Lighting - Water flow:
Likes medium to strong water movement. Requires strong light from VHO or metal halide.

Difficulty of Care:
This is considered more difficult than many corals although not as difficult as the branching varieties of montipora. For this reason though it is not recommended for beginners.

Aggressiveness:
This is not an aggressive coral.
