Description:
The picture looks like
Muriceopsis flavida but may
not be. Purple Bush is
pinnate with round branches that point up. The branches are round and thicker than
the
Pseudopterogorgia species that it could be confused with. They
are a
photosynthetic gorgonian found in the Caribbean.
Lighting - Water flow:
They require strong currents and a good light source.
Difficulty of Care:
I haven't found information yet on how well they do in the
aquarium.
See Care of Photosynthetic
Gorgonians.
Aggressiveness:
This species sometimes produces sweeper tenacles to sting
its neighbors so be careful that it is not close enough to injure others.
