Here's what Angela says about Coa Coa:

"Our Squirrel was found with 2 dead siblings after a thunderstorm. It must have knocked them out of the nest or it could be the fact that they were able to walk around but had their eyes closed. I think they might have crawled out of the nest and fell to the ground.
" We rescued coa coa and placed him in a hamster cage with a heating pad on the bottom. We covered the pad with a clean pillow case every few days. We fed the squirrel with a small pet bottle filled with 1/2 a teaspoon of pet milk every 2 hours, sometimes we would wait 3 hours. We eventually fed him cows milk when he got older. He stopped taking milk bottles on his own and now drinks from his water bottle in the cage. He loves pecans and apples. We leave bird seed mix in his cage during the day and give the nuts and apples as treats.
" He can get hyper but knows when it is time to settle down. My children love him as you can see from the many pictures he is forced to pose for. He is frequently sitting in a barbie scene with his 8yr old owner. He actually knows when to be still for the photos or else the girls will just keep replacing him in the spot till he gets it. He has full run of our home. Loves to stay in our curtains at the top. He has a collection of items up there. In truth we are not sure of the sex. We love this little guy. "

"Wow, Coa Coa is one lucky and happy squirrel! Thanks for sharing his rescue and his new home with us.
