Here's what Amber says about R2:

"When I first got R2, I honestly didnt really like him. He wasn't a bird that you can play with. He always tried to fly away but of course his wings were clipped. I have had him for about 6 months now and I love him. I work at a bird store so part of my job is to tame birds (if possible) to help find a great home for them. He was tamed but was afraid of everyone. He would jump off perches and wouldn't let anyone pick him up. I decided to take him home one night and show him that no one is going to hurt him. About 10 mins of that and he came up to me, cuddled up and fell asleep. I kept bringing him home for about a week. I was 17 at that time and asked my mom if it was ok to buy him, with hard thinking she said sure. R2 is attached to me. I can now swing him around, toss him up and down and do about anything with him and he loves it. He doesn't want to leave my side. If I leave him in a room so I can go to the bathroom or something like that he will find his way to come find me. I cant even leave my place by myself with out him crying for me. If I do, he would yell and won't stop for about 10 mins. When it comes to me eating anything, he will be right there eating with me. He will go inside a bag of chips, carrots, etc. to get what he wants and comes right back out to find a place to eat it. He loves to take showers with me. When I say I am taking a shower he will go YAY!!! . I didnt have to choose him, he chose me, and I am glad he did. I LOVE HIM TO DEATH."
