"For
what is man without the beasts? If all the beasts were gone, men
would die from great loneliness of spirit, for whatever happens
to the beasts also happens to man. All things are connected.
Whatever befalls the earth befalls the children of the earth."

Dr Jungle Says,...
WELCOME!
Join me and share in an exploration of
Animals
of the World!
" My travels across several continents have given me a special
and unique opportunity to become acquainted with all sorts of animals,
birds, fish, herptiles (that's reptiles and amphibians), and other creatures. My only problem was that I don’t speak human! So,
how do I share these critters stories and information with humans?
"To my great
delight, upon my arrival in North America, I have been brought into the
company of some very special humans...
Meet the people that speak Toucanese!

Animal-World
Information Resource for Pets, Animals, Aquariums
Animal-World is about responsible pet ownership, but more than that
it is about preserving and honoring the environment and its inhabitants,
which give us our livelihoods and our very life blood.
With the kinship and love that we feel for our pets comes the responsibility
of knowing and providing what is best for them. From raising puppies or
kittens to keeping exotic corals and fish in our living rooms we can enhance
both their lives and ours with the knowledge of where they came from,
what type of environment they were born to, and the limitations which
captive care imposes on our keeping of them.
Today, more than ever, the
very survival of many species depends upon responsible pet ownership.
The destruction of many of the world's natural habitats including rain
forests and coral reefs, demands a proactive approach to setting aside
sanctuaries, refuges, and marine reserves.
For those animals already in
danger of extinction, we need to learn as much as we can about what they
need to eat, what kinds of environments they require to thrive, and how
to breed them. Hobbyists and pet owners are playing an increasingly important
role in this regard. Studying and observing behaviours in our living rooms
and backyards is helping us to understand and keep these animals better.
Some of the animals presented here at Animal-World.com have been domesticated for centuries,
while others have only been named in recent years past. Many animals,
especially in the coral reefs and oceans of the world are yet to be discovered
and named. Marine biology, by many accounts, is in its' infancy with a
mere 50 years or so of scuba gear available to scientists who are now
able to observe fish directly in their natural environments.
To this end, Animal-World.com will strive to provide accurate and timely
information. The knowledge we have today will surely be expanded upon
and modified as new studies and discoveries uncover new facts. We are
commited to publishing that information here at Animal-World.
