Jeremy Roche - 2012-03-24 First have water tested. Quarantine grouper if you can. A lot of times if a fish is being bothered by parasites it will produce extra mucus on its body giving the white coating. Your fish needs to be treated for parasites or a fungal infection.
Glenn - 2009-10-17 Epinephelus Summanan White Spotted Grouper, grows to about 15 inches in the wild and in large enough aquariums. Nice specimen you have.

This is a really hardy fish, the White-spotted Grouper is not always a real pretty fish, but it's a real survivor!
