I have a 19 month old that is lean and in good health minus the hip dysplasia that seems to be getting worse over the past two weeks. I cannot afford to have the surgery done since it seems to have started in front and back, does anyone recommend anything I can do as he is the best dog and way too cute!

JASON - 2012-05-08 I reccommend you use glucosamine chondroitin. These can be bought at any walmart and should run 30 bucks for a3 month supply. They help rebuild cartilidge in joints and relieve pain. I had a 196 pound rottweiler who would cry due to pain sitting down. With these pills he stopped. The vet has other pills, but this is cheap and effective. Good luck and talk to vet if dog is on other meds.

I have seen mastiffs around and I love them; they're very theraputic and gentle. I only wish my friend would get another one for the rental they're in because they take care of my autistic daughter who LOVES mastiffs and all even-tempered dogs.

If you get an english Mastiff I suggest You have a vet take a look at his eyes and hips for cataracts and hip dysplasia. If my Mastiff gets sores on his legs what do you recommend we do to take care of his legs.
